11 Sep 2011 The guide was good and my negative review does not reflect on him. He was very friendly and imformative. However, I had assumed that my tour would be with other people - I did not book a private tour (I don't know if that is even an option). But I was on my own. I am a pretty independent traveller and do not do many tours, but the reason I booked this was because I was travelling solo and wanted the experience of the Iguassu falls in the company of - and with the chance to meet - other people. That didn't happen. My pick-up was also very late, so I wasn't in the best of moods to start with. Before I started this trip and booked the tour at home, I thought that I would have a good chance to meet the local community and explore the culture, but after a few months of travelling, I realised that all the 'local culture' aspect involved was a trip to the kind of market you can find all over the place and the chances for real interaction very limited. Overall, I would have preferred to have visited the falls independently. Maybe Urban Adventures are more suited to novice travellers, but it didn't work for me.
