Useful Iguassu Tips
Important: As in any trip, regardless of the weather, always bring some light clothes and warm clothes. Check the weather forecast before packing. Even if the cold is splitting in Sao Paulo, Belo Horizonte and Rio de Janeiro, believe if the forecast indicates high temperatures in Iguassu Falls.
What to bring: Some items are essential for the journey: running shoes (because of tracks and options in ecotourism at the Falls), backpack (if you want to bring other clothes to change after the boat ride tours), sunscreen and identity card (the Passport required for stepping in Argentina and Paraguay).
Best Season: The climate is good in Iguassu Falls and it's hot most of the year, however, visit the city in spring. This time of year, the scenery is prettier and more pleasant temperature. But it depends on what you seek and prefer, in the summer months, temperatures can exceed 40. In winter, the thermometer may reach 7.
Tours: To do all the tours and rides you can hire a guide and transportation, it makes your trip more enjoyable and less tiring, and definitely more safer.
Small tips, but important, on its safety are those that apply in every touristic city:
- Ask your Guide about the best places to go.
- Instead you move with the tourism agencies of transportation or taxi because it is safer.
- Dress in a simple and comfortable.
- Avoid walking alone at night.
- Being a car, do not leave valuables visible.
- Do not take all the money with you, keep it in the hotel safe.
- Outside the tourist spots, avoid using cameras and video cameras in public places.
- Avoid going into establishments suspected.
- Talk to your hotel reception for information on the region's hotel.
- Do not accept rides from strangers.
- Keep your belongings with you.
- Bring the city emergency telephones with you.
